How Grey Ghost Hunts work

Grey Ghost Hunting Adventures isn’t an outfitter. We do not offer any guided hunting opportunities.  We simply connect the sportsman with the opportunity to hunt private land for trophy animals.  After you decide on a hunting adventure you will be given a tour of the ranch and a topographical map showing all boundaries, roads and gates.  The opportunities for success are entirely up to you. 

 Details

  • Application deadline for a non-resident big game license is March 15th
  • The cost for a hunt of a lifetime range from $1200.00 - 2000.00 for a 5 day hunt.(rifle and archery available)  Contact us for more details, prices and availabilities.
  • A 50% deposit is required to reserve dates, dates are booked on a first come first serve basis.

The Ranches

The trophy caliber ranches are scattered throughout Southeastern Montana.  You can find a vast variety of terrain on each ranch from hay bottoms and sage brush country to rough breaks and heavy timber.  Each ranch has roads that allow you access deep into prime habitat.  On most ranches a four-wheel drive vehicle can get you into prime habitat but an ATV may be beneficial if any weather blows in while hunting your trophy. Montana’s weather in the fall can range from 60 and sunny to -20 and snow so it’s best to be prepared for anything!

With more than 60 square miles of private prime habitat you will surely see some of the most beautiful and pristine country that Montana has to offer.

How to get There

Grey Ghost Hunting Adventures is based in Miles City, Montana.  Miles City is located in eastern Montana right off of Interstate 94, 140 miles Northeast of Billings Montana.  The closest major airport is located in Billings and has several flights in and out daily by all the major carriers.  All of the Grey Ghost ranches are located within 50 to 80 miles of Miles City.

 

Food & Lodging

Due to the remoteness of the ranches, camping would be recommended.  If camping isn’t appealing Miles city has several Hotels and Motels to fit any budget.  Several fine restaurants are also available along with grocery stores, sporting good stores and a Wal-Mart for anything you may have forgotten.
